FoodieFlow Legal
How FoodieFlow collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
FoodieFlow is designed to help you organise meals and plan groceries. To provide this service, we store the meals you save, the plans you create, and the account information needed to run the app.
We do not sell your data and we only collect information required to operate the service. You remain in control of your data and can request deletion at any time.
FoodieFlow shows occasional adverts, supplied by Google AdMob, to keep the free version free. You can read exactly what that involves in the "Advertising" section below.
This Privacy Policy explains how FoodieFlow collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the FoodieFlow mobile application and related services.
FoodieFlow is an independent software product developed and operated by its creator. This policy applies to the FoodieFlow mobile application and related services.
FoodieFlow is designed to help users organise meals, generate meal plans, and create shopping lists. To provide these features, we collect and process limited information necessary for the service to function.
If you do not agree with this policy, you should discontinue use of the service.
When you create a FoodieFlow account, we collect:
To operate the service, we store the content you create within the app, including:
We may collect limited technical information to operate and improve the service, including:
This technical and usage data is collected in aggregate and is not used by FoodieFlow to build individual profiles. Advertising is handled separately and is described in the "Advertising" section below.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, such as which screens are visited and how users navigate through the app. This helps us understand where users encounter difficulties and improve the onboarding experience. Google Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Where required by law (including under GDPR), this tracking is only activated after you give your consent.
Your personal data is used to:
We may use your email address to send essential service notifications, respond to support requests you initiate, and notify you of significant changes to the app or these policies. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent, and you can opt out at any time.
FoodieFlow may provide AI-generated meal ideas as part of its core features. When you request an AI meal suggestion, the ingredients or preferences you provide may be sent to an AI provider solely to generate the requested response.
This data is not used by FoodieFlow to train AI models and is not retained longer than necessary to deliver the feature.
All subscription purchases and billing are handled entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play), depending on the platform you use. FoodieFlow does not collect, store, or process your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status in order to unlock premium features within the app.
The free version of FoodieFlow shows adverts, which help cover the cost of running the service. Adverts are supplied by Google AdMob. At present these appear as optional rewarded videos — short adverts you choose to watch in exchange for unlocking a feature. You are never required to watch one to use the app's core features.
Adverts are supplied and selected by Google, not by FoodieFlow. We do not choose which specific advert you see, and we do not send Google your account details, your saved meals, your meal plans, your shopping lists, or your dietary preferences and allergies for advertising purposes.
To serve and measure adverts, the Google AdMob software in the app collects certain information directly from your device, including:
Where you have consented to personalised advertising, Google may use this information — combined with data it holds from other apps and services — to select adverts it considers relevant to you, and to limit how often you see the same advert. This means Google acts as an independent data controller for advertising data, and its use of that data is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Google describes how it uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, FoodieFlow asks for your consent before personalised adverts are shown, using a consent management platform certified by Google. If you decline, you will still see adverts, but they will be non-personalised — selected on the basis of general context rather than your advertising identifier or interests.
You may change or withdraw your advertising consent at any time from within the app's privacy settings.
You can also control advertising at the device level:
Subscribers to FoodieFlow's premium tier are not shown adverts.
Your data is stored securely using modern cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted and protected through authentication controls.
FoodieFlow is designed so that users can only access their own account data. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
While we implement strong safeguards, no system is entirely immune to risk. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your FoodieFlow account.
FoodieFlow relies on trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service, including:
These providers process data only on our behalf and under strict data protection agreements. Google Analytics' data processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days of your request. Some anonymised aggregate data may be retained to help improve the service.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us via the support form. When an account is deleted:
Some anonymised aggregate data, not linked to any individual, may be retained to help improve the service.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the support form. We will respond within 30 days.
FoodieFlow does not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not work with data brokers, and we do not share the content of your account — your saved meals, meal plans, shopping lists, dietary preferences or allergies — with advertisers or marketing platforms.
The free version of the app is supported by adverts served through Google AdMob, which collects certain device information for that purpose. This is described in full in the "Advertising" section above, and is the only advertising relationship FoodieFlow has.
Otherwise, we share data only where strictly necessary to operate the service — for example, with infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements — and only for the purpose of delivering FoodieFlow to you.
FoodieFlow is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us via the support form and we will promptly remove the account and associated data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will notify you within the app or by email. Continued use of FoodieFlow after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us via the support form. We aim to respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 48 hours on business days.
